WHO  “WE” ARE, WHAT “WE” DO

The Athletic Booster Officers and Board Members are glad that you have taken the time to check us out on the school website.  We would like to take this opportunity to let you know a little bit about who “we” are and what “we” do.

The Athletic Boosters is a membership organization that is open to everyone with an interest in Martensdale-St. Marys Athletics, and it is absolutely free to be a member.  YOU are part of the “we”, right now.  This large network of people is necessary for the Boosters to provide for the needs of our student athletes and the teams they compete on. 

This brings us to what “we” do.  The Boosters generate monies through concessions during Varsity and Junior Varsity contests, the homecoming tailgate, tournaments for younger athletes, and various other activities.  These monies are in turn used to purchase a wide variety of items for all sports within the school system.  During the past year, the Booster Officers and Board Members approved uniform, equipment, and facility upgrades in excess of $50,000.  If you would like a detailed list of items purchased, please contact one of the officers, or board members, and they can arrange for you to look at that.  The officers and board members encourage everyone to attend the monthly meetings that are held on the second(2nd) Wednesday of each month, September through May, for a greater insight to how decisions are made.

What can you do as a member?  Get involved, be involved.  The Boosters are continuously looking for individuals willing to volunteer their time, in the interest of providing the athletic programs with better uniforms and equipment, as well as compete in and on, better competition arenas.  Volunteering your time consists of working in the concession stands, to taking tickets at the younger athlete tournaments, to being a board member or officer.  If you would like to become a sponsor of the Booster, a sponsorship program is available.  It is strictly donation based and you will be recognized as an MstM Athletic Booster Sponsor in our game day programs.  The sponsorship form is available at the school itself, any Booster officer or board member, or from this link (SPONSORSHIP FORM).
