Flu Shots - October 6

We will Be having our Flu Shot Clinic on October 6 between 7:30-9:00.  The cost of the flu shot is $24.00.  The flu mist is not recommended this year so all vaccines will be injections.   Most insurances can be billed, or you can pay by cash or a check to Warren County Health Dept.   If your child is on medicaid or insurance does not cover vaccinations, please let us know so we can check and see if your child's vaccination might be at no cost to you.

Please call Mrs. Kirvin at 641-764-2621 to be put on the list and so that you can receive the consent forms ahead of time, or if you have any questions.

Activity Bus Drivers

September 20, 2016

The following rate increases and procedure changes for activity trip bus drivers take effect immediately. This applies to all extracurricular activities and field trips.

  1. Pay is now $14/hour with a minimum of $56 for any trip.
  2. The District will pay for all initial licensing costs for new drivers.
  3. The annual cost of STOP classes ($25) will be paid by the District with the expectation that those drivers will drive activity trips.
  4. The District will allow the use of its buses for any driving tests required for licensure.

In exchange for the District paying for licensing and use of a bus for that purpose, the new driver will sign an agreement to drive at least six activity trips within one year of obtaining the license.

If you are interested in becoming a driver please contact Jill Gavin.  jill_gavin@mstm.us

Driver's Ed Parent Meeting

October 10 ~ 5:30 p.m.

Media Center

Dear Parents,

We have a high number of students in the school that have severe allergies to peanuts.   Please be careful with the snacks and lunches you send to school with your kids.   The elementary is a peanut free area and we also need to be careful on the buses to make sure that there is not an accidental exposure to peanuts while the students are riding to and from school.
We appreciate your effort to make our school the safest place it can be!!!!
